Procedure for Getting A New Electricity Connection
QESCO has a simple and straight method for getting a new electricity connection. It requires you to pay a security fee along with the written application form. For the ease of the consumers, QESCO has prepared the application form in both languages, English as well as in Urdu language. The application fee is different in rural and urban areas. It also requires the applicant to annex some documents with the application form. If you want to get a general electricity connection you need to submit the application form and the following documents along with the application fee.
- A copy of C.N.I.C.
- The copy of ownership proof. (If the consumer is not the real owner of the place then he needs to get permission from the real owner in written form on a stamp paper along with the ownership proof.)
- A brief condition of supply with the signature of the applicant.
New Domestic Connection Fees
The total fee for a new domestic electricity connection is only rupees 3000. But QESCO does not require you to pay the whole fee in a lump sum. When you submit your application for the new domestic electricity connection you just pay rupees 300. The remaining amount of rupees 2700 is divided into 9 equal installments. You pay the installment amount with monthly electricity bills. This fee is for a single-phase new domestic electricity connection.

How can I get a new connection?
If any person living in the jurisdiction of QESCO wants to get a new connection the process for it is simple. He can get the application form from the sub-division for free or he can apply online for the new connection. After filling out the application form submit it in the office and the concerned clerk will issue a receipt as the acknowledgment of receiving the application.
The process will take 30 to 45 days to complete and the customer will get the new connection. If there is any technical or any other issue which cause the rejection of the application. The staff will inform the customer about the rejection within due time.
How QESCO gets the monthly meter reading?
The field staff goes door to door and gets the reading. The customer possesses a reading card on which the consumed units are recorded. So, the staff records the number of units in reading register and right on the card as well. It is so to avoid any mistake.
In case of mistake, how it can be rectified?
If there is any mistake in the bill, the proposed customer should consent the sub-divisioin Revenue Officer to rectify it.
How many grace days are allowed to make payment of the bill?
